Chicago and kitties
So, I've been in Chicago for almost 7.5 weeks. I'm almost done here. Working at Steppenwolf has been great. My lead actor is slightly insane, but I love her. Joel (my playwright) is fabulous and ridiculously sweet. I have had a really great time. The show has turned out quite well, I think.
And I'm really excited to work on another page-to-stage when I get back to Cali. I start a week from Thursday at La Jolla! Crazy!
I've thoroughly enjoyed my time in Chicago. Bradley came to visit for our birthdays and we went to see Underdog which I actually enjoyed. I got a visit from my dad, grandma, and great aunt for my birthday and we went to the aquarium and had lunch and presents. Becca and her sister came to visit and saw the play (along with Amy and Eddie).
I went swimming at Amy's last week on the one day that it wasn't hot/sunny. But it was fun. And I love Amy.
Emma Lou and K-borg are coming to see the show tomorrow and hang out, and I'm really excited. It will be super fun.
And hanging with Mal (in the little time that both of us are home at the same time) has been great.
But I am really ready to go home to San Diego. I've been working about 12 hours a week since the show started. My show is only two times a week (it's in rep with two other shows), so on days that I don't have a show, I only work like 40 minutes. It's crazy. So, I'm a bit bored. I need something to do. Or cable. Can't wait to get back to that! (I'm so lame)
And I miss Ross and Monkey Cat a ton. Like crazy. But I get to see them on Monday!!! Hooray.
I got a haircut today. I was a haircut model. It cost me $30 for an $80 haircut. Pretty sweet. I like it a lot, but I may not be cool enough for it.
I'm also getting my hair dyed. Brown! Eek! I've had red hair for almost 5 years, so it's gonna be crazy. So, as of Thursday I will be a brunette. We'll see how long it lasts... :)
And now for the most exciting news ever! I'm getting a baby kitty when I get back to San Diego!!! Hooray!!!
