Over 300 women raped, tortured and killed in Juarez! Take Action!
Normally I like to keep this blog as a place to record thoughts and opinions, but a friend alerted me to this issue and I just had to share it. I urge everyone to click on the link below and read the report. If all of us took a few minutes out of our day to sign the provided petition just think of the difference it will make.
Since 1993, over 300 women have been found dead in the town of Ciudad Juarez. Sometimes raped and even tortured, these crimes, although similar in nature, are thought to not be the crimes of serial killers but are isolated cases that reflect an underlying problem within their area. In other words, these women have little or no rights or protection and so are brutalized and murdered by a few local men who are never brought to justice. To make matters worse, the consensus of local officials is that these women brought it on themselves.
