Quick Complaint!!

I watched the movie Timeline last night and overall it was okay but why do movies always have to make one side or another the bad guy...For instance, in the movie they go back in time to the last day of the Hundred Years War between the French and English. Now this was the war that Joan of Arc played a huge role but she was not in the movie. You know why? Because the English had to be the bad guys and the French the good guys. Unfortunately life is not always like that. The English burned Joan at the stake but the French abandoned her to that and didn't try to get her back. She was used as a pawn and then ignored. My point here is that why did the movie portray the French as the heroes?? Didn't the movie have enough villians? I'm sure that a lot of awful things were perpetrated by both sides but that doesn't make one or the other the bad guys! I just get annoyed when they muck with history in movies.

Okay, now I will repeat to myself...its only a movie, its only a movie, its only a movie...
*deep breaths*
