You all know how much I love talking about myself (duh, this is my journal) and that I'm quite obsessed with my little 100x100 pieces of a joy that LJ likes to call userpics.....well here's the perfect meme!

Look at your LJ userpics list. If you have fewer than 50 icons, pick every fifth one. If you have between fifty and seventy-five icons, pick every seventh one. If you have over seventy-five icons, pick every tenth one. If you have fewer than ten, pick all of 'em. List them on your LJ, and tell everyone exactly why you have it, why it's interesting to you, and what significance it has. Edited: I decided to only do the ones that HAVE meaning. I skipped ones that were just "oooh pretty!" Deal with it kids. :)

I made this icon after seeing Quills and realizing that I do in fact lust over Joaquin Phoenix but more than that, I have a priest fetish! Not an musty old man priest fetish but a young....maybe Irish....priest with issues and impure thoughts. Think Gabriel Bryne in Stigmata! Rawr! I don't use the icon much but I like to giggle about it because most people can't read "priest fetish"> written in tiny cursive script along the side.

Buster! This is one of my favorite scenes from the second season of Arrested Development! You really should watch it for yourself since I can't do it justice and believe me I tried just now. I don't even think this icon does it justice but what can you do? It makes me giggle.

My favorite movie of all time is The Princess Bride and I've been searching for a good icon for awhile and found this one. It's just so distinctive and pretty that I had to use it. I think only someone with super super Princess Bride love could recognize it which is what makes it even cooler..to me anyway.

Mark Ruffalo! One of the only men on the planet who can rock the 'stache! In the Cut is a movie that you don't tell anyone you love because it's kind of down and dirty but I do and I'm not ashamed. It's worth a look ladies if only for the scene(s) where Mr. Ruffalo talks dirty but makes it romantic somehow and you just want to thank him for being on this earth. (I hope that's not too creepy.)

I don't use this one much but it's silly and it makes me laugh. If you don't know who Gandalf is I'm not explaining it because you need to turn off the computer and go read a book or go rent the Lord of the Rings movies now because you are hopelessly cut off. And why are we even friends? (Just so you know, just joking. But seriously....if you don't know, speak up! I want to hear your story.)

Jayne! Firefly! Okay for those who don't speak Whedon-Geek, Firefly is a show that was cancelled far too early. It was the child of the totally awesome Mr. Joss Whedon who brought us Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. Anyway, the show ended but the fans are great in number and slightly nutty so the entire cast was able to return and make a little old movie called Serenity. The show and movie are Sci-Fi/Western but what sets them apart (and all of Joss' work I might add) is the dialogue. It's genius.

My very good and wonderful friend _wanderland (who is also the one who's household I invaded this summer) made me these three, and many more, icons of my babies. Hulot and two of Benny. She also made me the gorgeous header that I'm currently using when I lost the B-Monster. I really don't think that these need much explanation other than that. ♥

I ♥ spies! Love them! This is Max and 99 from Get Smart and one of my favorite shows. Uh and I like the icon cause it's pretty.

Literally one of my very first icons on Livejournal and still one of my favorites! I still get compliments on it and I really think it's just ME!

I snagged this awhile ago because it's so pretty but more than that, it is a nice icon for any post relating to books. The image is from the movie Labyrinth but the maker has lightened the character so much that all you see is a ghostly figure clasping a book. I am a bit in awe of it's simplicity. Which in less art nerdy speak means, it's pretty!

This is my "Harry Potter icon" which is hilarious because when do I ever talk about Harry Potter? Uh, never? I'm not a rapid fan and I'm not obsessed with Ginny but I found this by an artist named "BloodyMary" and I just loved it so I made a set of icons and then fell in love with this one. It's just....pretty!

Emilie Autumn is a newer artist that is just breaking out into the mainstream but she already has a loyal following of fans. I made a set of these awhile back and I've always really liked this one. "Rose Red" is the name of one her songs. She has a personal journal -- bonnytymepyrate and her fan community is at emilieautumn.

Emily and Kaden! I actually am planning more updated icons of my niece and nephew and one of my newest niece....or maybe just an animated one that rotates pictures since they are all adorable. Anyway, if you don't know the significance of these I don't know what to say to you except...do you even read my journal?

It's Shahrukh Khan and he's in looooooooove! I think this is a scene from Kabhie Khushie Kabhie Gham but I guess that doesn't matter so much as I LOVE SRK and had to have at least one icon of him!

There are several reasons why this icon is awesome. 1) The quote is funny. 2) It's from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back by Kevin Smith! and 3) Jay says it and I have a secret crush on Jay.

A quote from one of the best movies ever made about teen angst; Heathers! The movie is made to be quoted!

This icon is certainly "ooh pretty" but I also really like it because my grama has two of these mounted on her fireplace. They are Victorian in origin and I think they represent family or something like that. Please correct me if I'm wrong though. Essentially they remind me of home.

A very drunk Sally from the UK show Coupling which is also awesome. I like to think that deep down, I am Sally. Also I love this episode. I am actually using a couple of icons featuring Sally because I love her that much.

The show Roswell is a very recent interest of mine. I got hooked during a marathon on the Sci-Fi Channel. Anyway, this icon is so sweet and I adore the coloring. It's just so soft and inviting. I don't ever use it but I like to look at it.

Freaking hilarious but also a reminder that shit happens. I should make this my default icon....

I was wholly corrupted in my pre-teen years by unsupervised library privileges that lead me to read every single bodice ripper I could get my hands on. I seriously believe that this has given me a very rich vocabulary (you'd be surprised how often it's appropriate to use the word tempestuous) but it has also given me an unobtainable ideal as far as the male species goes. I know that I will eventually find someone who will be the one but will I be disappointed? I worry sometimes that I might never recover from this disorder. I also have these weird dreams about a faceless, nameless man who I've always assumed to be some hybrid of all these dashing men from my tweens. Part Darcy/Scarlet Pimpernel/Edmund Dantes (see I didn't only read smut), part rackishly handsome man with a sordid past and perhaps a scarred face and a lustful appetite for young helpless ladies. I came up with this icon for any posts where I talk about these dreams, which I usually don't but whatever. And I think it's kind of pretty.

Made by neutralskin for me in one of those interest icon meme thingies. She picked Serenity which of course, if you have been following along the whole time, is that movie that was spawned from the wonderfulness that is Firefly. This is Zoe who is one tough bitch. I love her and the icon is pretty, although it's another one I don't use much. And the second one is more Firefly and literally one of the best lines ever, "Whatever you say, Captain Tight Pants."

A happy accident and one of my all time favorite icons. It's from Young Frankenstein which is seriously one of the funniest movies ever made. I just love it! My best friend and I would watch it obsessively in junior high and then quote it until we drove off any coolness we might have once possessed.

X-Files! One of my favorite shows....obviously! I didn't watch it when it was actually on but I LOVE LOVE LOVE it now! And how sweet are Mulder and Scully! I just want to put them in my pocket.

Ah Monty Python! I love them so much and you know this icon is perfect.

Bruce Dern is a B-movie actor and totally awesome. This is from The Burbs and made by the cool fuyu_yuki who has the best taste in movies. Don't ask me why I have to have an icon of him but I do and that's all you need to know. So there.

Web cartoons had a bit of a renaissance in LJ-land about a year ago. Some genius type-person came up with iharthdarth an endlessly adorable spoof of Star Wars. In the comic, Darth Vader was simply a single father trying to raise his children right. This icon is so cute that I couldn't stand not using it. That's tiny Leia if you couldn't guess from the gold bikini.

Another old favorite! From the movie Some Like It Hot with Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon and Marilyn Monroe. The movie is hilarious and I have a bit of a crush on Jack Lemmon in drag so it's one of my favorites. I love this icon but on Firefox it moves so fast that it gives me a slight headache. I've been planning to tweak the animation but I haven't gotten around to it.

I have a very vivid imagination and so this shouldn't come as too much of a shock but about 5 years ago I became convinced that I was Natascha Rambova (the wife of silent movie star; Rudolph Valentino) in a past life. I'm absolutely not kidding about this either. I had a weird dream about Valentino and then I started reading about him and his wife and I had these weird similarities. I even spoke to a palm reader about it once. Well anyway....I'm not sure I believe in any of that anymore but I still have a thing for Valentino and probably always will. Isn't it fun to dig further into my madness....or is that just scary?

If you haven't read cleolinda's movies in 15 minutes then you need to. They are at m15m and are hilarious! She made this icon to correspond with her spoof of V for Vendetta which is so funny!

For me, good dialogue can make a movie or show and sometimes something just jumps out at me like this one did. Supernatural is starting it's second season this Fall and I hope that it's around for awhile. It is the only thing that even comes close to replacing Buffy the Vampire Slayer for me and it has hot boys who fight evil and stuff. Fun right! I feel like I give the impression that I watch a ton of TV but I really don't. I usually watch this stuff later on DVD but this is one show that I did watch religiously during it's first season and I'll probably do it again for the second!

From the delightfully weird movie Mirrormask by Neil Gaiman. I don't really know why I even use this icon except that it's weird and I like weird.

Do I really need to explain this icon? I didn't think so. (!!!!!!!!)

Aaaand finally, my hometown at night. So pretty!

Stolen from Miss melraad who didn't go overboard like crazy old me. But it was fun and a good way to be lazy without actually appearing so to my grandparents. Oh and my current default icon (see above) is just pretty and that's why I'm using it. I'll make the usual proper post when I feel like it, although nothing truly exciting is going on right now.

ETA: I'm not getting my comments right now so if I don't respond to you, it's not because I don't LUV you. E-mail me directly if it's something super important. ♥
