Perfume, art and the art of getting a job

This is so cute, it's making me giggle uncontrollably.

I have a call to make this morning but I might just have a real paying job. (They don't pay me to be fabulous yet unfortunately.) It's the kind of job that isn't long term but is so cool. I'll be transcribing historical documents for a woman who's family has a long history in Flagstaff. I'm hoping it will tide me over until after I visit my sister and then have to get a more permanent one. Has anyone out there done this kind of work before? How much did you get paid per page? The only reason I''m asking is this lady is paying from her own pocket but I want to make sure I'm not being underpaid. She was thinking about $4/page. It sounds reasonable to me because I can type pretty fast but I just want to make sure. I can do it at home at anytime. I can work in my pjs! I don't have to worry about gas to and from work. Does that sound reasonable? Anyone? Bueller....

I have to come up with a topic for my capstone class that is related to documentary photography. I think I know what I want to do but I'm trying to figure out if I can find enough information on the subject. I'd like to write about the Bellocq who's photographs of New Orleans prostitutes were almost lost. There's very little information on him and even less about his intentions and purpose behind his photographs. Some of them have been purposefully damaged. The main thing that interests me is the women in the photos. Anyway if you click on the link above, you can see some of them. (Sorry about the pop-ups on the "Masters of Photography" site.) I'm not going to geek out over this anymore...promise. ;)

I have a bottle of Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab's Khajurajo up for sale on eBay. I don't think many of you are into BPAL but just in case. The description sounded so lovely but for some reason Sandalwood smells awful on me. I highly recommend trying BPAL if you haven't. I've found a ton of new scents that I just adore!

That's all from me. Word.
