A quick ramble...

Good gaaawd but I'm bored today. Here I am post post postin' yet again! I hope that I'm entertaining someone out there.

I just started reading Tori Amos:Piece by Piece, the book written by Tori Amos & Ann Powers. It's sort of an autobiography/collection of tales and thoughts from Tori. Well you may know that I've loved Tori Amos for a long time. She was there during my angsty high school years and she's still with me albeit in a more matured fashion. In any case, I picked up her book and was so excited about diving into it. So far I'm ADORING it! Every word. I've always thought that she has a lyrical sound to her voice as if everything that comes out of her mouth is part of a poem. Even when she's just doing an interview. That's the way the book reads too. Her book is like a long rambling poem, in fact it seems that she's taken her experiences and woven them into prose and then made it accessible to her fans. (And I'm not a fan of poetry per se.) Even if you aren't a fan, this book is a good read especially for anyone calling themselves a feminist. Anyway, I've just started it and already I've become lost in it. I love when that happens! I highly recommend it already. You were right Katie, she does have a tendency to wander around on long elaborate tangents but I sort of like that. It's kind of like how my own mind works. Only my mind doesn't feel quite as epic.

I was just thinking how funny the German language is. In English we try our darndest to keep words short. Instead of saying intelligent, intelligenter, intelligentest for example, we like to say intelligent, more intelligent, most intelligent. But in German, oh no, they will string words together until the cows come home. Seriously. German words can be LONG! I wish I had an example. Can a few of my Deutsch-sprach Freunden help me with that? Oooh wait, like Gemeinschafthandler. Loooooooonnnnnggg!

Guess what I get to do tonight! You'll never guess! Give up? Okay, I'll tell you. I'm shampooing my carpet. HURRAY!! Aren't I the most thrillingest person you know! I know I am.

Okay, that's enough tomfoolery. I hope everyone is having a GREAT day! Ciao!

EDIT: I almost forgot! I just need one more address for the CDs. tyrven please report to the previous previous journal entry and give me your address asap. I know you posted it once upon a time but I can't remember where or when. Thanks! CDs will go out on Monday!
