okay, so let's see if i can post pictures...
okay, so this is dan and katie in
.
the mac store... it felt like a wierd school gym downstairs...
radio city - it was november... thus the christmas trees.
katie near radio city music hall...
dan's building at... GRAMMERCY PARK!!
inside grammercy park
the view from inside of the park... (dear sophie... i think of you every time.)
dan and me at the statue of liberty...
while in line, dan told me that he never thought he'd go to the statue without his parents... he just kept talking about how he felt that the whole tourist adventure was "something stupid my parents would want to do..." and how it was so surreal that we went without old farts who would think it was "fun".
hanging out at chelsea market
in february, bj and i went to boston to hang out with laura and ben before she left for north carolina. we had a ton of fun and didn't do a lot of site seeing, but we did have lots of face time with each other (which was PERFECT).
and this is laura and beej in
.
having a joyous time at the science museum...
laura loves flies
i took this picture so that when we go to the REAL museum (answers in genesis) we could reference the blatant LIES they told about dinosaurs in boston.
we met up with laura's friend, jes, and went to this yummy italian resturaunt in the north end for dinner, and while waiting outside for about 25 minutes in the windy teen temperature, ben pointed out the the place next door was called trani's and was prominently selling "BUST OUTS".
then they let us wait inside... in a tiny hallway that went to a window in the kitchen, both bathrooms, and was multi-tasking as a coat closet.
cozy.
and we ended our last night in town with boxed wine for me (YUM!) and Jes and Ben comparing stomachs.
also, the WHOLE time i was in boston (and on the plane, to and fro) i had "Manah Manah" stuck in my head and kept singing it. it's fucking great.
also, because jet blue rules my ass, i got to watch a "bam's unholy union" marathon on the way to boston, and "the hills" marathon on the way home. and beej got to watch the history channel... so i was able to sneak peaks when i felt like i was drowning in horribly wonderful drama. BRILLIANT.
