Snow Induced LJ Post (better than an Alcohol induced one!)
So I realized the last time I posted something was June 1st of last year. I guess now's a good time for another!
~I've been to work ONE TIME (on a 1 hour delay at that) in the last 2 weeks. Most of you I know would KILL SOMEONE for that time off, but I really miss my daily routine and my job. I love getting up and going to work every morning and my job is really a bright spot in my life. I feel lazy and unproductive when I stay home for 2 weeks straight. If I would have known I was getting all this time off, I would have gone somewhere warm!
~Speaking of my job, this year is going great. Everyone in our department gets along very well and I have great students this year. I have 3 collaborative classes which I am really enjoying as well. I've also broken up about 4 fights...and it's only February.
~I've really developed a great group of friends in Fredericksburg. They are awesome.
~It seems that this year i am unfortunately playing the "how many weddings can I go to without a date" game.
~I'm looking at houses. I might buy one. I never really thought I'd be buying a house alone, but I guess things don't always work out the way you plan them. I'm pretty settled in F-Burg, I love my job, and there's no marriage in sight for me. I've got the means, and Now's the time to buy. We'll see if I find the one. There are some great deals out there.
~I still love Reality TV.
