Liss in Tokyo

Last night after classes, Liss and I came back to the dorm and I made food for her while she packed. She's going up to Tokyo for a kind of reunion with some friends who she came on her first trip here a few years ago with. That's just so cool somehow, that they all kept their interest and are meeting here again.

Anyway, we walked to Hanazono, just barely missed the train and got down to Kyoto Station without a hitch. Liss had never been to the station before, so I was making sure she didn't get lost and seeing her off. She's taking an overnight bus which is significantly cheaper than the train.

Shinkansen one way - $120
Bus round trip - $80

So yeah, if/when I go running around Tokyo this summer, I think I might do that. We'll see from Liss how it all worked out, and whether it's worth it.

Last day of the first week of classes. Yay. Time to recuperate and then start on all my reading soon. For now though, running off to class again.
