Dude, Peter Jennings died yesterday! I don't really know why I'm surprised and saddened, but i am. The article I was reading that in talked about his death being "the end of an era" of nightly newscasts. Since Dan Rather and Tom Brocaw are already off, he was the last of the really renowned reporters/anchor people on the 6:00 network news. Then the article explained how the news has worse ratings than ever thanks to the new ways to get information about current events, and that makes me sad too. I don't watch the news, but think of a world with no morning and nightly news...what would we do with ourselves?

So yeah, since I don't watch the news why do i care? I dunno...just the principle of the thing I guess
