my mom told me that i have realistic dreams. i suppose she's right. i have those kinds of dreams that i wish were real. i think i take ideal things and live them vicariously through my dreams. maybe. i had the sweetest dream last night. i lived with a guy that i met the other day and when we woke up, we both went to the bathroom to brush our teeth and while we looked at ourselves in the mirror (i remember thinking that i looked like morning death and he might have said the same for himself, but i would have easily argued that he looked like morning adorable) he said, "are you going to get ready for the party?" and i asked what he was talking about and he explained that there was a town party at the beach and i was his date. and so i got ready. and that was it.

most of my dreams are like that. none of them are surreal...maybe they're odd, but they don't have extraordinary imagery. just a lot of feelings.

i miss photography.
