(no subject)
What a busy but great couple of days its been! Christmas was good but weird since the boys weren't home but its ok - we're going to do it all again once they are home!! We did brunch at my dad's parents house as always which was yummy! And presents and then we came home and did Chirstmas here since my dad had church in the morning. I got a couple small things since the big present (and I thought maybe only one) was the plane ticket. I got a scarf and pj's a couple books. Then after relaxing just a little bit we went to my mom's sisters house for dinner. She made turkey ham just for me! And then we drove my dad to the airport because he was headed out to NY!!!
Monday I worked and it was busy but not as crazy as I expected. I like the people at work so it made going back after only one day off not too bad. Then I got a call from Tatsu (whose leaving tomorrow) to go and grab dinner and go to the garage with him and his friend Jimmmy. So I met them and Jimmy's brother Jason and the four of us went to grab some dinner and go play pool. As I learned the last time, after a drink I get better at pool - why I'm not really sure but it just works that way. I was going to be headed home early beause Carrie and Luke's flight was supposed to get in at 830 but it ended out working out well when their flight was delayed - not for them since it was delayed 3 hours!! But I got to hang out with Tatsu some more and we played pool for a couple hours. I was nice and loopy from being at work all day and by the time I went home I was ready for sleep. It was sad to say goodbye to him (and I cant believe peopla are going to start going back to school!!) but hopefully he'll decide to come up again for Christmas next year and I can see him at least once a year. Or maybe once I am making actual money I can start going to visit people! But it was good to see him. Then I came home, changed my clothes since I was still dressed from work and mom and I headed out to the airport.
Even though we werent taking Carrie and Luke home with us we wanted to meet them especially after their long day and flight. It was good that we had because Carries mom and dad were somewhere else and she was happy to see a familiar face! They were both exhausted from the trip and Luke had only slept about 2 hours on the plane and they were ready to sleep! So we said a quick hello and goodbye and hopefully we'll see you soon! and then we headed home. I got to sleep around 1 only to get up for work this morning.
As always when I'm tired the first couple hours are hard but I opened with Rhodora and Erik so the morning was good. Not as many crazy returns today although definatly some crazy people! THen I came home, took a nice nap! grabbed some dinner with Nick and we headed out to Phil's show which was awsome. I had never been to Rendezvous before. ITs a cute little place. It was great to hear Phil play again and the song he wrote for Annika is awsome!!! Very cute!! She was smiling the whole time and I think it was the best song of the set that we heard! I'll have to be sure to tell him that the next time I see him! Anyways it was great and even though I was tired I am really happy that I went!!
Tomorrow is my day off but I'm going to go and have the eye doctor check me out (I wore my contacts for the first time in over a week - just for a couple hours) get a new headlight for my car, practice (Back to rehearsal on Monday!!!! and concert on the 9th) and then coffee with the crew at 9PM. Stacey leaves on Thursday and thats really sad!!! I feel like she just got here!!
