Today was just.. horrible for the most part. I don't even want to get into it.
"They say in this town, the stars stay up all night. Well, I don’t know, I can’t see them because of the glow of the neon lights. It's a long way from here to the place where the home fires burn, it's two thousand miles and one left turn."
So my parents have been talking about possibly moving back to Mississippi [where I lived when I was younger] or South Carolina, or some other places because of my Dad's job. He gets offered promotions every summer and never takes them because no one wants to leave Niceville. I really don't want to move but I don't feel like I should complain about it because he turns down so many promotions. They don't want to leave either, but usually when he gets offered a job he just mentions it, then forgets it, but they keep talking about it.. a lot. I'm scared.
I'm going to list the pro's and con's of moving:
Pro's: Getting away from stupid drama. A new start. Meeting new people, not exactly life long friends, just new faces. More college oppurtunities. I can come back in a year for college. Theres really not many..
Con's: Leaving everything I've known [pretty much] my entire life. Leaving my friends. Leaving the beach. This is the greatest place to live. Leaving my street.. I love it and the people. Leaving my family. I don't make friends easily. I'm scared. I love Niceville, Florida. Sooo many more.
I really do love it here.. like more than any place I've ever lived/been. This is truly paradise and so many people would kill to live in such a great place. I don't think I would be able to function without my friends and family that I am so close with. Living here gives me something to feel special about. I don't know.. I'm being corny but I really just don't want to leave. I want to live here when I'm older too. I don't care if it's a little dull; what could you do in a big city? Nothing. We are too young. But even if we wanted to do anything we have Destin thats five minutes away, Fort Walton which is about 20 minutes away, Pensacola and Panama City are both about an hour away. Not to mention Seaside, Sandestin, Grayton Beach, you get the point. Blah. I hope I don't go. I know they don't want to move either it's just weird that they keep bringing it up. Mom: "What would you do if we did end up moving? Nevermind, don't worry about it, it's a ways away..". I'm going to the Sun Hut now. Byeeee<3.
