Hey, everyone!

It's been a while (like 3 months O_____O;;) since I've last posted, so everyone: LONG TIME NO SEE~!  A lot of stuff (namely school work and life stressors in general) have been keeping me away. But, right now, it's SPRING BREAK, and I've finally managed to gather enough resolve to get back into the writing spirit! :D Since it's been awhile, and my skills have probably deteriorated some, I've decided to start out small. So, without further ado, here's a LONG overdue short fanfic that my roommate had requested eons ago! XD

5 times Subaru walked in on TORN + 1 time they walked in on him

1----

When Subaru learned that he was going to have to work with Ryo and Tacchon for “Glorious”, he should have known what he was getting into.

As soon as his mind registered the scene in front of him, Subaru hastily backed away from the corner of the studio where Ryo was filming his “bed” scene, quietly cursing himself for being so stupid. Despite successfully vetoing the pair’s suggestion to make “Glorious” the new “TORN 2”, Subaru still felt that he should have known that that wasn’t going to be the end of it. He should have known that Tacchon would waste no time in pouncing on the sharp-tongued guitarist at the slightest opportunity, that he would soon walk in on his two bandmates in some pretty compromising position. It didn’t help that Ryo’s hair was perfectly tousled for that tantalizing just-out-of-bed look, or that he was wearing a loose-fitting wife beater that showed off the slim muscle of his arms and chest. It also didn’t help that it was Ryo and Tacchon, the two Eito members known for their sex appeal.

Willing his mind to clear itself of the scarring image burned into it, Subaru sagged against the wall, kneading his forehead with his hands. If this was the way the rest of the “Glorious” PV shooting was going to go, the Red Ranger was in for a long day.

2----

Subaru was looking forward to couches. In fact, Subaru was looking forward to a certain couch backstage in the Eito dressing room and looking forward to collapsing into it. Kanjani8 was nearing the end of their 5-year anniversary Puzzle Tour, and the lead singer was ready for a well-deserved break.

Picking up his pace so that he would be first in the dressing room, he quickly rounded the corner and burst onto the scene.

“What the -? You’ve got to be kidding me!”

Somehow, Tacchon and Ryo had made it into the room before him, and now Tacchon had the other man pinned under him, effectively claiming the couch. The tall drummer was now glaring at him, as if willing Subaru to leave so he could continue with what he had started.

Subaru held up his hands defensively, not wanting to incur Tacchon’s wrath, something that was usually only triggered by the withholding of food. “Whoa, there. I’m all for your celebratory man-loving. But, please. Don’t mess up the couch.”

Without another word, Subaru left the premises, off in search of another reasonably comfortable surface to flop down upon.

3----

“3! 2! 1! HAPPY NEW YEAR!”

As Hina shouted his first greeting of the New Year during Johnny’s Countdown 2009-2010, Subaru could feel his heart soar with joy. Even though Kanjani8 had been worked to the bone with a string of concerts that had lead all the way up to this point, something about it simply being the New Year seemed to lift all the tiredness and haggardness from his system.

With a smile that stretched from one side of his face to another, Subaru turned to give each of the other members a congratulatory slap on the back. He managed to catch Hina, Maru, Yasu, and Yoko in quick succession, the last New Year’s greeting followed by the Black Ranger’s customary high-pitched squeal of laughter.

But as he turned to reach the remaining two Eito members, he was immediately greeted by the sight of Ryo grabbing Tacchon’s face and pulling it towards his own for what seemed to be a New Year’s make out session in the process.

Ugh! Seriously? In public…on national TV? Subaru thought, eyes widening in amazement at the audacity of the pair.

But then he noticed the all cameramen angling their cameras at a certain slant away from the pair, while staring stolidly in the opposite direction as if nothing out of the ordinary was happening. Following the camera’s line of sight, it seems that viewers at home were going to get an awful lot of Yoko and Hina time for the New Year.

Of course.

4----

Subaru was practicing in the dance studio with most of the rest of Eito one night, struggling to get the choreographed moves just right. Perhaps it was because Eito was down one member, but the choreography wasn’t working out as smoothly as it should. Just as the members were finally frustrated enough to contemplate giving up for the night, Tacchon burst into the room, his face too cool to be fully apologetic for missing the majority of rehearsal.

Judging from Tacchon’s still-present girly makeup, Subaru deduced that the tall drummer must have just rushed over from the set of “Ooku”, where he would have been working with the likes of Tamaki Hiroshi and Arashi’s Ninomiya Kazunari, both actors that Tacchon had professed to admire. It was a wonder that the youngest member had bothered to show up at all.

Tacchon hurriedly muttered his apologies for being late, pausing slightly to remove his shoes and to shrug out of his jacket before slipping into his place in the formation. Subaru surveyed the room and found, as per his expectations, a confused Maru, a disappointed Yasu, an amused Yoko, and a pissed-off Hina.

Crossing his arms and shaking his head slightly, Subaru started, “It’s about time you got here! We were all -”

But before he could finish his sentence, Ryo shot past him and pinned Tacchon to the ground, yelling, “You were hanging out with him again, weren’t you? Don’t think you can fool me! I can tell when you go sneaking around behind my back!”

“But, Ryo-chan -”

“Don’t ‘But, Ryo-chan’ me!” exclaimed Ryo. “I know you’re working with Tamaki Hiroshi-san, and that he’s hard to resist. But, you’re in a relationship with me, not him! You’re mine!”

During the course of the lovers’ argument, the other Eito members must have somehow snuck out of the room because it was at this moment that Subaru realized that aside from the pair on the floor, he was only one present. Looking from side to side, the Red Ranger was hoping against hope that there would be an inconspicuous way for him to leave the premises.

“I’m going to show you who really owns your ass!”

Upon hearing this ultimatum from Ryo, Subaru didn’t care anymore about being subtle - he promptly ran out of the room.

5----

“Yeah, I would really love to get married and have a family by the age of thirty. I feel that being in ‘Zenkai Girl’ has really been great for me in terms of being able to act like a father to Pitaro,” Ryo was saying, smiling at the Music Station host who was interviewing Kanjani8 before their “Tsubusa ni Koi” performance. “I’m twenty-six right now, so I guess I don’t have much time left!” He laughed sheepishly, his face instantly brightening as he did so.

The audience and the other guests laughed appreciatively along with Ryo, but Subaru didn’t miss Tacchon’s sudden tensing to his right when the Yellow Ranger had mentioned marriage and family. There was no doubt in Subaru’s mind where Tacchon’s thoughts were.

Sure enough, during the performance, when Tacchon had to sing his lines during the bridge, the tall drummer did so without once taking his eyes off of the short, tanned Osakan standing right in front of him. Subaru nearly rolled his eyes. If Tacchon was going to be any more obvious, Subaru wouldn’t be surprised if their romantic ties were splashed across the front pages of every gossip newspaper out there the next morning.

But, of course, the fun didn’t end there.

After the performance, Subaru practically fled the stage in his efforts to head off the lovey-dovey pair before they got to the Eito dressing room, waving off Maru’s anxious pleas for him to wait up. All he wanted was to get out of the studio before Tacchon and Ryo decided to do anything NC/R-rated, which he knew was bound to happen right then and there.

But as he neared the dressing room, Subaru could make out loud, barely suppressed moans that could only lead him to one conclusion. Heaving an exasperated sigh that rippled across his shoulders, Subaru took a breath and shoved open the door.

“Really, guys? I just needed my bag!” he exclaimed, not bothering to shield his eyes as he traipsed across the room, grabbed the said item, and stalked out.

“Seriously. This has got to stop.”

+1----

“Ugh! I can’t believe this keeps happening to me!” bellowed Eito’s lead singer, throwing up his hands in anguish.

“Well, to be honest, that last one you kind of brought upon yourself,” said Yasu, an amused smile flickering across his face as he crossed his arms. “You didn’t have to enter the room right there and then to get your bag - you could have waited for them to finish.”

Subaru glared at his bandmate in response. If Yasu wasn’t so cute, he would have been dead meat by now. “It doesn’t matter! I still think that it’s indecent for people to be so open with their affections in public! If you really want to have sexy-times with your lover, the least you could do is to GET A ROOM!”

“Actually,” said Yasu, putting a finger in the air knowingly, “if you look at the instances when you…interrupted things for Tacchon and Ryo-chan, most of those were in pretty private places…you just happened to walk in on them.”

Subaru clenched his fists. “You’re not making me feel any better, Yasu. I thought you told me that talking about my problems out loud would help make me feel better!”

“Well, it should…” Yasu’s gaze fell and he looked so forlorn that Subaru felt his heart sink to the floor as he wished that he could take back the hurtful words that he had said just before.

He went over to the shorter man, putting his arm around him. “There, there, Yasu. I guess it’s just a sight that I have to get used to, if I’m going to continuously run into that same, undesirable situation over and over again. But really, it’s okay. You don’t have to beat yourself up over it. I’ll be okay.”

“Really?” Yasu ventured, his tone hopeful and his eyes gleaming with happiness.

“Yeah,” replied Subaru, smiling. “I’ll be fine.”

Yasu’s face lit up as he nodded his head understandingly. “That’s good! That’s all I wanted to do - make Shibuyan happy again.”

“Thank you, Sho-chan. I -”

But before he could finish his sentence, Yasu had leaned forward and captured his lips in a kiss, distracting him from all else. Subaru leaned into the kiss, pulling the other man close with one arm as the other reached out to stroke Yasu’s face.

Yasu pulled away slightly to say, “This almost makes you want to create a ‘Desire 2’, doesn’t it?”

Subaru chuckled. “I’m willing if you are.”

As the two leaned forward to resume their kissing, the door suddenly flew open, revealing the very objects of Subaru’s complaints.

“What the -?”

“Ew…Why don’t you guys get a room!”

And with that, Ryo and Tacchon left, slamming the door behind them, giving neither Subaru nor Yasu any time for explanations or time to salvage the situation, which was probably beyond saving anyways.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my first attempt at writing in FOREVER! I have decided to focus on Hatsukoi next before continuing on to any of my other big project, so I hope that's satisfactory for everyone! :)
