1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
Let's see… I lived in the same apartment for an entire year. I graduated from college. And… I moved to Chicago.
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I don't believe in New Year's resolutions.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? My cousin had a baby boy!
4. Did anyone close to you die? No
5. What countries did you visit? Surprisingly, none.
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007? A real job
7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory and why? February 17th… my 21st birthday!! August 12th b/c I moved to Chicago… and of course, April 16th, the date of the Virginia Tech Massacre
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Landing an internship at Resolution Digital Studios and moving to Chicago all by myself. Oh wait… and graduating from college! =)
9. What was your biggest failure? Nothing that I can think of.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? I learned that I have bad allergies.
11. What was the best thing you bought? My new computer, which I am currently using to type this out.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? I would have to see Kalee's… because she is going to Spain to study abroad and I am very proud of her for making it happen.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Haha. No comment.
14. Where did most of your money go? College, rent, and bills.
15. What did you really, really, really get excited about? Going to South Padre Island for spring break… which was an absolute blast!
16. What song will always remind you of 2007? 'Cupid's Chokehold' by Gym Class Heros. (Ba da da da!)
17. Compared to this time last year are you:
Happier? Maybe a bit, because I finished college
Thinner? No, I doubt it
Richer? Haha, NO.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Save money
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Spend money
20. How did you spend Christmas? In California with my dad's side of the family!
21. How will you be spending new years? A low-key night with my sister and Andrew… and some of their friends.
22. Did you fall in love in 2007? I thought I did, but no.
23. How many one-night stands? n/a
24. What was your favorite TV program? Grey's Anatomy, Gossip Girl, The Office
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? No… I think all feuds have been settled
26. What was the best book you read? Harry Potter. Don't laugh… I'd never read any of the books until this past year.
27. What was your biggest musical discovery? Hmmm… Plain White T's and…. *gasp* Boys Like Girls
28. What did you want and you got? Spring break in SPI, a trip to DC to see Amanda & Katie, my new computer, and a new Ipod since my old one broke.
29. What did you want and not get? A job. (Although, that's hardly fair to say because I was never unemployed until last week.)
30. What was your favorite film of this year? Superbad… and The Holiday, but that might be from 2006. I can't remember.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old did you turn? I TURNED 21! And what did I do? Drink, of course! I spent the night before my birthday in Allendale, and the day of my birthday at Michigan State. And I'm happy to say that I never hugged a toilet.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Getting out of accumulated debt.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007? I don't know… sorta trendy?
34. What kept you sane? I don’t think I ever came close to the border of going insane… independence probably. I don't like to be told what to do.
35. Which celebrity did you fancy the most? Patrick Dempsey
36. What political issue stirred you the most? Don't get me started.
37. Who did you miss? I'm always missing someone… because I have friends and family in so many places, I'm always away from people that I love.
38. Who was the best new person you met? Everyone at RDS. Maybe Matt… Courtney, my roommates… I can't just pick one person.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005: Life refuses to be predictable. So just enjoy the twists and turns that you encounter along the way. Things have a way of working out.
