Hi everybody! I'm not dead, just buried under a rather taxing move.
So, my husband and I bought a townhouse down the street from our apartment in February, and we were so excited. Finally we would get a place that was exactly as we wanted it! No more crappy carpets, no more vertical blinds and popcorn ceilings and ugly textured beige walls! Plus a third bedroom, so my husband could have a home office and I could have a craft room, and my son could have a bedroom all to himself! Yay!!
First thing when we closed, we tore out the popcorn and contracted bamboo floors for the bedrooms. I have dreamed about bamboo floors for years, guys. And these floors were going to be beautiful, and they were going to be done just in time for us to move in on March 1st.
Except... it is two weeks into March now, and the floors are still not done. They are mostly done, sort of. I have just enough room to put our beds and dressers down, while everything else I own in the world is just piled in a million boxes in the living room. It's lovely.
Yes, I know. First world problems, right? I should stop complaining, I have my own place and food to eat and a job and stuff. But still. It's kind of unpleasant right now. I don't even have space to unpack my computer, or my XBox, so I feel a little untethered. I haven't played a video game in weeks! And I still haven't cracked "The Moon In Water" while everyone else on Tumblr has already finished it. Also Mass Effect Threeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! OMG!!! F*#&!@ml*!1!!1!!!!!
Anyway, I hope to have my life back together soon. Miss you guys. :|
