Job Whisper

After a long, gruling week at World Market I had to yet again close the store on a Saturday night.  And to make a long long long story short myself and two other managers were CONNED! I wish my parents had not raised me in such naive environment because it proves of little help in today's world. My other manager ended up giving a lady 600 dollars in cash for stuff she had taken from our store and put on a register as a return. We didn't have cameras either so we couldn't prove it....But to clear that part up we had another call from "corporate" that was telling us about the particular situation of this customer. Apparently she filed a complaint against World Market in ATL and wanted to return three comforters for 99 dollars each. So Kevin, another manager, gave her the money for the comforters and then called me to the front with an extra amount of money. I thought it was just to balance the register or something. As it turns out, it was for the curtains she had taken from our own store and returned to us!!!!! She never gave us any reason for doubt at all and talked about how much she liked the store blah blah blah. But to make a long story very terse...some people need to find God because stealing will never get you anywhere. Luckily, I get to keep the job! However sucky it may be.

I worked at Regions Corporate office today. It was awesome! I got to switch the live show today. It's like a meeting for all the region's  branches broadcast across the country. Pretty snazzy. Next month I get to call the shots. Not sure how much I will like that--- I always get nervous calling shots for anything live.

My JOB WHISPER comes from a radio station in town. My friend that works there sent my resume to his boss about a  PT position opening up soon. I have to wait a week or so for an update. But just the possibility is very exciting.

Will and i will be driving to Wedowee, AL on Friday to pick up his Alaskan husky puppy!

I don't think I can make it to Kite Flight. =(
