1. Are you named after anyone? If so, explain.
The Jessica character in a 1970s TV show called Soap inspired my parents to pick this name. It wasn't the character they liked; it was the versatility of the name they liked. That was mere minutes before Jessica became one of the most popular names of my generation. :P
2. Do you have your children's names picked out already? If so, is there any significance?
When I was a kid, I wanted to name my kids Astrid and Skyler. Now I would prefer more traditional names, but I don't really have any specific picked out that I KNOW I'll use.
3. If you were born a member of the opposite sex what would your name have been?
According to my dad (and take this with a grain of salt), if I had been a boy, I would have been named Samuel Daniel Nathaniel Emmanuel.
4. If you could re-name yourself what name would you pick and why?
I wouldn't re-name myself.
5. Are there any mispronunciations/typos that people do w/ your name constantly?
I never had any problems until I got married. People want to spell Emerson with two Ms, and after I moved, people inexplicably started spelling Jessica with only one S! Is this the product of youneeke baby names? Those reach into our lives in ways we might not imagine.
