Crafter's back and Little Big Brain

Apr 02, 2006 00:09

I have a case of crafter's back right now, that stitch you get in your back from hunching over the glue gun and/or the crochet for an extended period of time.

I've made some cozies for my new best friend, Little Big Brain, my iPod.

You want to behold these. )

I love those!!! Can you post a pattern to adapt for a shuffle?

For one of these? Well, for the felt one, I'd say take a look at the Craftster link I posted and just create your template to match your iPod. That's how I did it. For the crochet one, I'm going to have enough trouble redoing mine for my 'pod, but I bet if you comment on Cynthia's journal and ask, she might tell you she's already modified it. She's very industrious, and with the book having been out a month already, she's surely at least contemplated it.

hmm...wonder if I could adapt the crochetted one for knit. I can't crochet to save my soul. I know they were selling ipod sleeves for the nanos for 20 bucks apiece. That used *maybe* $0.50 worth of yarn.

The trick with a knitted one would be the vinyl window. Crochet is really condusive to working into holes punctured in vinyl. But if you're not worried about that and just want to knit a sleeve for your nano, go to Craftster and do a search through the forums for "nano cozy" or something, or just Google it. I bet you'll find several.

I think I changed the percentage of something having to do with the sidebar. Either the size of it or the portion in on the screen where it starts...? Something having to do with percentages and the sidebar.

Hah! GabiGirl, you nomadwoman (is that "nomad woman" or "no madwoman"?).

I'm glad you made an account. Now I can add you to my list of people who can read my super-secret entries.

Perhaps I shall post this poll. In the meantime, would you like to meet for lunch on Wednesday? I promise to bring my own cash this time.

No fair! I thought people could hide behind their chosen monikers. (As far as what it means, you left out a third possibility. But of course I want it to mean whatever it means on a given day; hence the ambiguous syllabic configuration.)
The answer to your other question is "yes." Give me a ringy on that outmoded telephonethingy once you're back in the blighted city.
