Best of 2014 (According to Yours Truly)

I fell way short of my 2014 reading goal of 75 books. Even counting manuscripts I read for critique, I only got to 56 books. I’m hoping to read 100 next year - I did that in 2009 and it was so good for me creatively.

But here are my favorites of 2014:

Favorite sexy book (new adult): Last Will & Testament by Dahlia Adler

Favorite thought-provoking book: Poisoned Apples: Poems for You, My Pretty by Christine Heppermann

Favorite nonfiction: Still Writing by Dani Shapiro

Favorite novella: Night of Cake & Puppets by Laini Taylor
