I have turned in five major assignments in the last calendar week. I have three more due before this work week is out. Of those, the grammar notebook for Greek is complete and due on Friday; the composition for Latin hasn't even been begun, and is due on Friday; the Italian History paper is due tomorrow evening, feels half-hearted at best, but probably has 85% of the work completed which I will actually do to it. I'd like to work on it a lot more, enough that it would only be 65% finished at present, but I have decided it's simply not worth losing hair or sleep over.
I also have to read Paradise Lost by our old friend, Milton. Just selections of it. But I should have read a third of those selections already and then also have the assignment for tomorrow still due. I haven't counted how many pages of it that is. But a lot. As much as 70 pages. Which is nothing in a modern novel, but feels hefty for 17th Century poetry. Particularly when I really should still prepare my 20-odd lines of Cicero for Latin tomorrow and then hash out that last 15% of what needs to be written on the History Paper.
Poor Cicero keeps getting the shaft. I've managed to get good enough at Latin that I can wing it in class without having prepared really at all and sound nearly as good as some of my classmates do having prepared it. Which, bit me in the butt a little on my last exam. Tantam Vitam. But I could really understand what is going on if I gave it a little more effort. I think my professor must have figured out that I'm not trying as hard as I was at the beginning of the semester. I think he's a big enough boy not to be hurt by my lack of effort. But still.
So. That's the update of the moment. Which is thoroughly uninteresting, I imagine. But it's what I've got for now. And I should curtail my procrastination. How's everybody else doing?
