(no subject)
Ok, well, today I'm going to the Cubs/Marlins game in Miami... and I really am beginning to think the Cubs curse is REAL, because last year we couldn't go to the game, since hurricane (Jean?Frances? one of them...) was pummeling Florida when they were supposed to be playing. And guess what? They're flying into another hurricane. Yep, hurricane Dennis. The game hasn't been cancelled yet though, but we'll see.
Also, I wanted to talk about recent events, the bombings in London. It's just horrible what this world is coming to. And the terrorists... I simply don't understand their mindset at all. They really think they're justified in what they're doing, however, which is a scary thing. It's just... whenever innocent people die like that, I can't help but get outraged. Plus, I know a lot of people in England, and my thoughts and prayers are with them all. Hope everyone's ok.... I know this guy, Stuart, who was going back to England for the summer, and I don't know how to get in touch with him, but I really hope he's ok.... :(
And completely changing the subject for a minute... I got a semi-flame on one of my stories, someone saying more or less that I shouldn't be writing fanfiction. That hurt my feelings, lol. Don't get me wrong, I love getting constructive criticism, but to me what that person said was kind of hurtful... But you know, I'm over it now anyway. Just wanted to vent in my LJ. Besides, I wrote a couple new short vignettes and people seem to like it... I try really hard to make my characterizations accurate. Especially when it comes to my beloved Spikey :D
Anyway, that's about it. Bye for now, again...
