My Vacation
So I finally got my weeks vacation which turned out to be 9 days. We had family from Chicago come down here for a few days. It was Elliot's cousin Brian and his 4 year old daughter Hailey. They arrived really late Sunday night and he came straight to our house(note he was to shack up with Elliot's mom but who can resist us...LOL). We stayed up till about 4 am. They crashed by us for the night. When we woke up I made breakfast. We relaxed blah - blahed and then decided to go to Hollywood Connection which is our version of Enchanted Castle. They had rides for Hailey, skating, a great little restaurant, and a big arcade for the guys. After that we called it a night. The next day(Tuesday) we went to the Montgomery Zoo. It was a really nice place. It was somewhat barrier free. They had some animals put together in the same exhibit. It was very nice and peaceful. After that seeing as how we were all overly tired we went back to my mother in laws house for homemade burrito and guacamole night. Yes, yes margaritas too....lol. after calling it a night we went home. The following day we went to Chewacala State Park to hike to the waterfall. It was beautiful. We had so much fun. When we left there we went to Alexander City to see Elliot's aunt Rhonda. She lives in a huge house off the lake. She has her own dock. She calls it Watson Manor (Watson being her last name). We had KFC and just hung out. It was great. The next day we just hung out at home and had a BBQ/fire. It was a nice way to relax and enjoy our last night together. The following morning (Friday) they left. Elliot went to work, and I started watching the Tudors on Showtime. I love that show and watched the second and most of the third season on demand. Now I am back at work. OH JOY!!!!!
