a tiring but entertaining saturday...
Today I got to visit with one of my favorite people of alltime...my great aunt Marian. :-) Anyone who knows me closely has probably heard me speak of her..she's so incredibly stylish and dramatic and southern..I love her..lol. We don't get to be together but once a year or so, if that. It had been at least 2 years since I had seem her before today so we had a very nice visit. Just to give you a little taste of Marian's humor...I was looking at a coffee table book of "Grand Houses of the South" (AKA huge southern plantation mansions) and picking out the ones I would prefer to live in (like that would ever happen..but I can dream, can't I?). I found one that was absolutely gorgeous and I showed it to Marian and she loved it, too. (We like most of the same things). She looks at it and says to me, "Well, darling, you know you must plan these things ahead." And I'm thinking "Oh no, she's about to give me one of those old-people-lectures on how I need to start saving money now" or something to that effect. Instead, she comes out with a true Marian-esque answer and says, "Where will your elevator go?" LoL! I love her to death! :-D
I'd love to record more of Marian's quotes tonight but I am sooooo tired! I've been up since 7:35! I was two counties away this morning before I even consider waking most days! Hard to believe, I know. I could hardly believe it. But yea, everyone have a great night and a beautiful Sunday!
