Sony Ericsson W760i: Fixing the connector that the charger plugs into.
So, the part where you plug the charger into the phone was busted.
You couldn't charge the phone or connect via USB unless you had the connector head at a certain "angle" when in the phone. Even then it wasn't that consistent. The message that indicates that the phone was charging kept popping up, the menu that displayed the USB options was doing the same and frankly, this pissed me off.
In anger, I kept pulling the USB connector in and out of the charging socket until it nearly lodged out; thankfully, the lid that covered the top half of the phone was able to clip out and I could then see the problem.
(this was when after I fixed it)
The side bit of the connector was snapped off.
So I super glued it back on and also super glued the connector back in but I had to make sure it was at the right position. I connected the charger in with the part and made sure the phone was charging while I super glued it to the right position.
This had taken me several attempts because I previously attached it and any position and the mobile didn't end up charging in the end.
