Lucky you. I will do anything to keep from studying so I am updating again.
I went and saw Don Quixote last night. It was fantastic. There is this matador dance which made me very impressed. I maintain that Ballet Cubas male dancers are better than their female counterparts.
It was a bit of a hassle to go to the ballet though. First, some drunk, stinky, crazy man basically collapsed on me on the subway on the way there. It took two people ot hold him upright to get him onto a platform where the propped him against the wall and left him.
In case you are wondering, they make you be escorted to your seat at the ballet and then they expect a tip. Have something smaller than a two euro piece. The snotty girl who seated stood there for like two minutes before she told me she expected a tip. She only walked me up two steps. I knew where my seat was. Oh well. Also, bring ten euros if you want a program. This is a deal. At the Ballet Garnier the programs are 15 euros.
The ballet started at 9:30, had two intermissions, and finished a little after midnight.
After the ballet, I ran in my heels and made the last metro to my apartment. Thank goodness. I got home at 12:30am.
They are renovating the apartment across the couryard and this morning the construction workers starting staring directly into our apartment and trying to converse with me. I do not speak before my morning diet coke here. I just don't. Also, I was acutely aware of my little sleep shorts, tank top, and mussed hair. I was not fit for public viewing.
Natalie's parents are here for a few days and they are so funny. Her mom is this little vietnemese person with a 10 carat diamond on her left hand. I kid you not. It is huge. I will try to find a subtle way to take a picture of it. She and natalie's stepdad have the cutest little old people pajamas. Tonight they are taking us to dinner at the Eiffel Tower. We are going to ALtitude 95 which is not cheap (but is cheap compared to the other one- Jules Verne). I'm excited to be going and not paying.
Two exams tomorrow.
Saturday I have to run around all day and get my last tourist things in.
Sunday I am going to see the end of the Tour de France, pack and go to the hotel, and finish my Note os I cna email it to Nicole. I am deifnitely getting a strike on it.
Monday I fly home and get to see Michael! Hooray.
Tuesday I get to housesit somewhere iwth a pool and see the new puppy and my family.
That is right. There is a new puppy. My mom and sister bought a new puppy. Her name is Paige. She is NOT named after my best friend in Memphis; she came with that name from the Humane Society.
I will post a picture of her in a separate entry and then I will study. I will. Probably. After all, the grades don't transfer. I just have to pass. Right?
Did I mention I ate chocolate for breakfast?
