boy oh boy i can't wait for it to get cold :)
it's weird. not a single person called me the entire day today... but i didn't mind it one bit. i went to the library and they had a display out about banning and challening of books. it was fascinating. i checked out a couple "the bluest eyes" and "i am the cheese" because they weren't too big and they looked pretty interesting. i'm about half way done with "i am the cheese" and it's about a crazy kid trying to remember some shady past. i'm lovin it. i may take the time to look up on the internet why it was challenged.
i really appreciate ms. hines and mrs. underwood for letting us read some of the awesome bookes we did, like slaughterhouse 5 and grapes of wrath and the invisible man and brave new world, fareinheit 451, and 1984. i guess those books sort of explain some of my cynicism (sp?). all about conspiracies and government totalitarianism, etc; they were all on the challenged list and i'm sure there's more. OH MAN like catcher in the rye, of course!
man i love college. just doing whatever i want to do, i love it. my favorite part of the day is going to play piano. i'm in a beginner class and i've always wanted to learn.
i'm glad i'm here in san angelo. it took me awhile to decide that. but honestly, it's pretty alright. i'm getting my college education, maybe it's not in the most desirable social setting but it works and i'm having a good time anyways. :)
