Bleach... You Should Be Able to Guess What This is About...
Ichigo and Orihime. Yeah, you knew it was coming. Don't know how. It's not like this is the only thing about Bleach that I ever talk about. I mean, I hardly mention them at all. Okay, enough sarcasm, my shoulder hurts and I'm propping up a hot water bottle thing on my shoulder that is making it hard to type. Anyways... just some things I wanted to share that made me happy. Nothing that is happening the manga... but just some other things...
So, a few weeks ago I was poking around the net and found that apparently Kubo Tite, in an interview for a Bleach Movie, stated that Ichigo and Rukia don't have a romantic bond. Their bond is more than friendship, but it isn't amorous. So basically, they were like family (my interpretation). WHICH IS WHY I LOVE THEIR RELATIONSHIP. That's how I always took it. It's amazing in that way. Now, this has nothing to do with Ichigo and Orihime, obviously, but it still made me happy because I always worried about Ichigo and Rukia's relationship. What if everyone ELSE was right? What if there is something there, and I just don't see it (thanks a lot, stupid anime that gives Orihime the shaft!)? But now, I think I can be a little at ease about this. Who knows what will happen in the future, maybe this will change, but for now: Yay!
Other than that, there was recently a meeting between the American and Japanese voice actors for Ichigo at a convention, and I found this video (below) on some random community thing about fandom wank or something. It was making fun of the Ichigo and Rukia fans who were flipping out about this:
Basically, both of them are asked who they prefer for Ichigo (Rukia or Orihime), or something like that. Who he should be with. You can't hear the question, but you'll know when it's asked because the crowd goes "OOOOOOOOOOOO". JYB answers first (I forgot Sexy McVoiceActing voiced Ichigo. I was pleasantly reminded, even though you can't see him), and says he leans more towards Orihime, but then, to keep the Ichigo and Rukia people off his back, he says that Rukia is an old dead chick. Smart move, Sexy McVoiceActing!! But that was the first thing that turned me off to a romance between Ichigo and Rukia in the first place (that, and I thought she was a boy at first). After that, I totally expected a Rukia from MM, but... NO!! He says Orihime!! Says that Rukia is more like a part of himself, and that it's Orihime for Ichigo (Rangiku for himself XD). So, double yay! Again, not that it means anything will happen canonically between Ichigo and Orihime, but it's nice to know that the voice actors like Orihime as well!!
So, while my interest in Bleach is waning, Ichigo and Orihime are still one of my favorite couples and are the only reason I keep current with the series as of late. I KNOW, I'M A BAD AND PATHETIC PERSON!! But, it makes me happy. So, that's my happy for the day.
I stop now. My shoulder-neck is hurting.
