Who Is Teaching Youth of America?!

OMG! JESSI IS TEACHING YOUTH OF AMERICA!! HOW CAN THIS BEEEEE?!?!?!?!

Okay, well not "teaching" per se, but substituting for teachers who are teaching the youth of America, which is somewhat important, yes? Kind of?

Finally, after months of paper work and waiting, I've been called to substitute teach. Once last Thursday and once today. My first day ended in catastrophe, out of six classes: two were awesome, three were mediocre, and one WAS THE CLASS FROM HELL!!! But that class taught me several valuable lessons (mainly, eat lunch and keep hydrated because being light-headed while trying to keep rowdy teenagers in line isn't a good idea!!). And apparently, the regular teacher of the class thought I did a good job and will be requesting me from now on to sub for her. I'm just hoping that round two of Jessi vs. Demon Class will end with the score being 1-1. I fully admit that the class getting so out of hand the first time was largely due to my inexperience, so hopefully things will go better if I ever teach that class again. I'll bring holy water just in case.

The class I had to teach today was considerably better. All the classes went pretty well, and I'm pleased. Hopefully, I have more days like today, and no more days like last Thursday, though that may be too much to ask. The people at the office seem to like me, and they said I was a good sub, so I'm hoping to get more work so I can get the monies.

Other than that, I've been reading Uncanny X-Men comic books in my free time. I've skimmed through the issues before, but this is the first time I'm actually sitting down and reading them. I'm finally in the 200s... I think I'm on issue 216, which is good because I'm actually enjoying them now. The early issues make my brain turn to mush. But once Claremont took over, things got considerably better. The writing is still a little exposition-y but not bad-like, and the characters actually have some depth!

Not much other than that... because I am boring. HOW ARE YOU?!?!
