Life is nothing but a series of quizzes leading up to the final exam -- learning who you are. If you pass, I suppose you should and would be happy for the rest of your life with who you are and the decisions you have made. However, if you fail, what happens? Do you ever find out what true happiness is, or true love, or true friendship? Do you just live your life pretending to be something you're not?
In the end, I think everyone finds out who they really are, but maybe some just learn too late. I guess all we can do is live life one day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute at a time, one second at a time. I would like to say "have no regrets" but I think we all do, whether we want to admit it or not. It's just another part of life.
To all of you reading this, good luck with the test of life.
P.S. Don't have any expectations...that way, you won't set yourself up for disappointment, and you might get a little surprise somewhere along the way.
