Ah, kiddy shows...
There is, seriously, a new show on playhouse disney (early morning preschool disney cartoons, for those of you without kids) called Handy Manny. Manny is a hispanic handyman who talks to his tools and does random odd jobs for his entire town. It's like Bob the Builder meets Dora the Explorer. And it annoys the crap out of me, so of course, the girls love it. Some of the shows these people come up with just astound me. I think the greatest part about this show is that they keep repeating themselves, because they are trying to teach the kids spanish, so they'll say something in spanish, or half in spanish, and then repeat it in english. I'm not sure that it's actually effective. Bridget can say a few numbers in spanish, but she learned those in school. Though, apparently Morgan is speaking portugese (I'm pretty sure I spelled that wrong but too lazy to look it up), because her daycare teacher speaks and sings to them in it. She's from Brazil. Not Mexico, Brazil. (She's told me this about half a dozen times).
