ok. it's 3 am, I'm wide awake and I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow. Livejournal I'm so horribly unfaithful to you...I only seem to find myself here these days when I'm not sleeping or not happy....sorry.
Anyway since I'm here I think I'll wade myself into the whole barack obama got a peace prize mess...don't worry...I haven't eaten anything in the last hour and I'm wearing my swimmies....
Thing is on this one I can easily pick a side. Because I like my president. I think he's pretty fucking cool. And I say if people want to give him an award for not fucking anything up yet...I say awesome. Not fucking things up is hard, it about time somebody got recognition for it. And here's the thing...the nobel peace prize isn't a contest, there were no campaigns involved, he didn't know he was gonna win it and it would be rude and counterproductive to refuse it...kids, the dude is earning some serious international brownie points by gracefully receiving this award. And here's the other thing: if it were four years ago and president pooferbrains had won it...and people started nay-saying, the policy would have been 'hey, if you're not gonna cheer for our team, get the fuck out of the stadium.' Just because he's not republican and doesn't outright demand and expect unconditional respect simply because he's the boss,doesn't mean he's any less in charge. and can't we just be happy for the guy and move on? I kindof feel like people who are going around saying he doesn't deserve it are being a bit kanye west about it which is amusing considering many of those people also firmly believe that what that asshole did was wrong....
uh-oh...this rant was slightly political...I wonder how many anonymous posts I'll get telling me how unpatriotic or stupid or female I am...we'll see...
