Well, I'm back at working at Berlin. They (the powers that be in National Amusements) kept me at Buckland for about two weeks (making sure I had just gotten the hang of it when they called and said "Ooh, nevermind, go back to Berlin!"). I learned how to work the IMAX (its veeeery tricky by the way, and either hit or miss if it'll start for you, so if it doesn't, sorry people, gotta go fix the IMAX for 15 hours or so...) and learned that working in a theater that's under construction is a very superb talent that I just can't ever achieve. I mean, plaster dust was getting on the projectors! My babies were getting all dusty and yucky and they were not happy wittle projectors. *pout* Also, there was a fun week where the construction crew hit the septic line and it smelled like poo around theater 1 and the Customer Service desk. Poo doesn't smell like roses.
But I'm happy to be back at Berlin, for some strange reason, I love working there. I love the people, the other employees, and sort of even the building. The drive there is better and easier. The theater isn't under construction. Its not going to be a Cinema De Lux for years probably, if it ever will be, so it gets to stay almost simple. At least as simple as a Showcase Cinemas can be. I feel like I fit in there, like its where I'm supposed to be.
So what else have we been up to?
Umm, on a sad note, a student from my class in High School died on October 28th. His name was Bryan Hood and he was actually a nice person. I had been in school with him since elementary school, and he was an EMT and I couldn't remember him ever being mean or anything but nice to anyone, and in High School, that's pretty tough to do. It was a shock to hear that he died, and I went to his funeral and got another shock when a bunch of kids from my grade didn't seem to recognize or even want to say hi to me. If we ever have a class reunion, I'd better come in wearing armor.
Me and Mike are doing well and I'm not allowed to say more. I'd have to kill you and I just don't want to do that. Its confidential. Top secret. Stealthy like a toilet. But we're doing fine.
And Christmas is coming up, hee hee. I wonder if I should post my Christmas HINT List (yeah, I'm too old to do Christmas Wish Lists, but how about giving out Hints? Tee hee hee...I've so got the gimme's this year!)? I feel selfish doing that though.
Eeep, I gotta go back to the real world or I'm gonna be late for work. Ja bye bye for now!
