‘Glee’ Star Jessalyn Gilsig Tells Us Her Character Will Do Anything to Get Will Schuester Back!
HollywoodLife.com: If I were to tell you two years ago where you’d be now…
Jessalyn Gilsig: I have to stop you. [laughs] I can’t even answer that.
HL: How’d you pick the dress? It’s gorgeous.
JG: It’s like picking shoes, you just know.
HL: Is there someone here who will make your heart stop when you see them?
JG: The silly thing about TV, and this happens to me and I do it too, is like - I just saw one of the judges from Top Chef and the cast of The Office, and I think I know them. I say hi. And I don’t. But you think you know them and so I’ve been saying hi to everyone.
HL: Remind me where we left off with your character last season.
JG: Well, I am left to fend for myself. [Teri is] trying to heal, but it’s hard though. It’s hard when your man leaves you for another woman. She’s having a hard time.
HL: Yes, he left her for another woman, but didn’t she have it coming?
JG: What!? What a terrible thing to say! I don’t see it that way at all. I think she loved him more than anything.
HL: But she faked a pregnancy!
JG: Find me a woman who hasn’t.
[I stare]
[She laughs]
JG: You’re so terrified. No, I know, I know. She’s a tough pill to swallow, but I think deep down she’s a good person.
HL: How hard will she try to get Will back?
JG: There’s nothing she wouldn’t do to get him back. She put a pillow in her shirt for six months. There’s NOTHING she wouldn’t do.
HL: What do you want her to do to get him back?
JG: I wanna sing in their faces. I just wanna take it down. I wanna just be like, ‘Listen. Listen, this is what you get!’
HL: What song would you sing?
JG: I kind of like that Eminem/Rihanna song, “Love the Way You Lie”
HL: You want to take Glee to a whole new level.
JG: This is why they don’t let me around Britney Spears. I get so dark.
HL: So you didn’t see her at all?
JG: They would never. I get really dark.
