Marilyn Manson was last night. It had been six years since I'd last seen them and this show was incredible. We got there at 6 and the line was down the block and they were already letting people in. We thought we'd be all the way in the back but we got in and sat on the floor like everyone else. On the way in I found a dollar too! Getting frisked is so crazy at Manson shows if you're a chick. They check in between, under and around lol. Speaking of that, some guy pulled on the front of my bra during the show, he was trying to climb on me.. he must have been high on something.. Then lots of hands were holding onto me in unpleasant places, well unpleasant because they were strangers.. Anyways, when they let us stand I walked right up to the front row and got us spots at the gate. Front row at a Marilyn Manson concert! That's crazy! The opening band, Slunt, came out and I liked their looks so I was excited for them to start. The lead singer is an ex-Mtv Vj, I knew she looked familiar. Her and the bassist are two of the hottest chicks ever, seriously. They were pure dirty rock. I haven't seen a band as good as them in a long time. Then Manson came out and was amazing. I didn't recognize the two opening songs, then I was thinking about the song "Disposable Teens" and they did it third! It was crazy, less than two seconds after I thought about the song they did it. There were only three songs that I didn't really recognize, then I listened to some stuff today and found them so it's all good. The set was over an hour, probably about twenty songs or so. I think they did the whole new greatest hits record Lest We Forget, plus more, except for "This is the New Shit". It was weird that they didn't do that song because it was so popular. Some of the best songs were "The Fight Song" "Sweet Dreams" "MOBscene" and "Tainted Love".. man can he do a cover song. "Great Big White World" was good, that's such a great love song. I love the lyric "I wish you were queen just for today" During "Tourniquet" he was on stilts like usual, that's so cool. He also had the blue stripe of make-up across his eyes like Michael Stipe did at REM. Except Manson's melted off lol. Umm what else? Oh yeah he spit water on us. And oh yeah- it was awesome! Then after the show we met the opening band, who I now love and you all should love too. Their website is www.slunt.net. Visit it now. They were adorable and I talked to all of them and shook their hands. The guitar player, who is amazing, kissed my hand and the drummer got me to do this hand thing that was funny. The bass player introduced herself by name which was cute and the singer was just plain hot. I asked her how she got her hair to look so amazing and she kinda told me so I'll try it sometime. Wonderful show.
