I believe that one of my favorite things to do is
collect
and
retrieve.
I accumulate so much shit over time that it is quite overwhelming, actually.
Anything and everything that i have ever created or received lies somewhere in my room amidst
clothing,
books
and
"stuff"
that i tend to use daily...or close to.
i absolutely love looking through boxes, or my closest, drawers, folders, notebooks, frames...and finding my life strewn about aimlessly.
it is a metaphor for how i live.
events take place,
situations upsetting...
and I
tend to just tuck them away in a corner,
uninhabited area,
to be dealt with and realized at a much later time.
how amusing.
life, that is.
something happens and i hide it
try to forget...
until it eventually
(and it always does)
surface.
i found so many items these past couple of days...
history.
how i was....
how others were...
how life was.....
quite simply--entertainment.
i could have spent months in my room.
