So today is officially 4 months til wedding day! I can't believe how quickly the time is passing - It's crazy! It makes me glad that we decided to have a nine month engagement. Mostly because I wasnt prepared to plan a wedding in a short amount of time.
Things with Seth and I are great as always. I'm continually amazed by our life together, and can't wait for our future. Seth's best friend and financial advisor worked on our budget for us, because we want to be out of debt before we start our family which includes: house paid OFF, have his new truck paid off, plus budget for wedding and honeymoon, and the two additions going on the house this summer, and various other things while still maintaining a lifestyle we're somewhat accustomed to. Not that we live lavish lives, but Seth has expensive hobbies i.e. rock crawling, snowmobililing and I love to shop and spend a few hundy a month on my personal trainer. We also discovered that we were spending about a thousand dollars a month eating out. We love our Rio and our sushi! All things that can still be done, but we needed to sit down and allot a certain amount each month to specific areas, so that we don't fall behind in our plan. If all goes well the house will be paid off by Feb. 2009. Thats a huge goal for us, and I know we can do it, its just a matter of disciplining ourselves.
Surba (my trainer) is awesome! My session today kicked my butt, but there is such a difference in my level of endurance and strength. We did my monthly weigh-in and I was a bit dismayed to find out that I have gained 2 lbs. from my last weigh in, but he then did my body fat and we found that I have gained 6 lbs. of muscle. A pretty kick-ass improvement for me. I've never been one to care what the scale says, which is why I hate being weighed at all, but I didn't mind so much this morning. A woman's weight can fluctuate a few lbs. from day to day, so why beat myself up if the scale reads a little higher than it did the day before? I'm going to the gym after work to get my cardio in for the day, then i'll call it a night and retreat home for dinner and quality time with Seth.
Saturday night was spent with my best high school friend Scarlett and another best high school friend, Carlie. Scarlett left to go to school in Hiram, OH after high school, and then did a year of law school after that. She then changed her major to biomedical humanities, and is heading to London this fall to get her masters and then Phd. She hasn't been back to Utah since '03, and I didnt see her when she was here even then. We got in touch on Myspace of all places, and finally got to get together when she was here to visit this weekend. We went to sushi at Mikado, and then to Tavernacle to meet a bunch of friends. It was a great time! I drank probably what used to be about "average" for me, which it turns out is MUCH too MUCH for me these days. I really must be getting old - "quarter of a century" old on the 30th in fact. Sheesh!
All for now - sorry so long (and probably boring for anyone but me!)
