I just walked 23 blocks through Harlem. At night, by myself.
Cause New York City subways are crazy. (and Mr. Pibb and Red Vines = Crazy Delicious)
So yes, I'm here. The Big Apple. New York, New York.
This morning, I woke up, and the loving Jaemi drove me to Seatac. Then, I sat around and waited for my plane. Then I got on it, and flew here. So far, so good.
Then, I got on the subway from Jamaica Station to Manhattan. This is where I had problems. I took at least SEVEN subways, and only then did I end up 23 blocks uptown of where I was headed. Along the way, out of desperation, out of cold, and out of tired, for some reason I bought a pack of Smokes... Wha?? Weird, eh?
But I got here. The lovely Hostelling International New York City. Actually, it's awesome. I've barely looked around. I'm going to go shower (With my new bar of soap, bought at the HI shop.), and then venture out for a piece of New York City Pizza. Thin Crust. Pepperoni. Hell Yes.
Tommorow, depending on weather, I'm going to perhaps bike through Central Park to the Metropolitan Museum of the Arts. Or other stuff. Who knows? It's New York!!!
