The hands on clocks all seem to be conspiring to slow down.
Episodes of "King of Queens" are dragging on longer. (Wonderful, in almost any other situation.)
Shifts at work have gone from "normal" long and tedious, to "Egyptian-pyramid-building-whilst-getting-whipped" long and tedious. (Yes, a reference to my Jew-y-ness.)
The closer I get to the trip, the farther away it is. And funnily enough, even though it's the only thing I'm able to talk about, (Hello! What wonderful caffenated beverage can I get you today? Oh? A latte? Hey, by the way, I'm going to Israel.) I STILL don't really think that I'm going anywhere. Only in small snippets do I realize: "Holy Criminey, I'm going to the middle east.."
But I am packing. Today, I bought new pants - Levi's - Sexy. Travel Toothpaste. Pens. And Tag. Cause a "Multi-Hotty-Pep-Pyramid" is bound to be stumbled upon in the dunes of the Negev desert, right? Right!?
I ordered a cell-phone rental tonight, and I should have my number before I leave. I'll post it up here, and if, on some whim, you'd like to pay however much a minute and call me, (probably when it's like 4AM for me), I'd be glad to hear from you. Cause incoming calls are free. Please do.
So I've set everything in motion. Wheels are spinning, gears are shifting, and I'm waiting to get my fat ass off the couch. It's a long wait. Almost over. 54 Hours.
