Random Weekend
Well I'm still waiting on my teaching materials from Marquette--they were supposed to come mid-June.....and then the second week of July. Now that the second week of July has come and gone I am not quite sure when/if to expect them. I am going to e-mail the director tomorrow to make sure that they didn't get lost in the mail. I'm wondering if I should be planning these courses already? It seems like it should take more than a two week orientation period to plan an entire semester's worth of classes. We shall see.
This weekend was a fun and random one. It didn't start out randomly, I suppose. I had been planning to visit Rachel in Appleton since June. Rachel, Rachel, Valerie and I enjoyed some wine, Scattegories, Balderdash, farmer's market and art projects. It was a great visit--I really miss those girls :) Rachel had to babysit on Saturday night so since I wasn't staying in Appleton as long as was planned I took an impromptu trip to Green Bay to hang with the parents and crash for the night. They were having dinner with Jason's parents so I got to see them too--it was a nice visit. I hadn't seen my dad in over a month.
After I left, Jason and I went to Beth's graduation party in Grafton and enjoyed AMAZING pineapple upside-down cake. Unfortunately we had to go before the beating of the pineapple pinata--I hope that it went well.
Random Goals that I Just Came Up With Today
~Cook and try one new recipe every week
~REALLY adhere to the weight watchers points--I haven't lost any more weight in a long time now
~Exercise more--I've been biking occasionally, but I need to start a routine
~Work harder on projects for Jason's iphone apps--I've been slacking with the business of the summer months
I think that's enough for now--that should keep me quite busy as it is. I will be even crazier once the semester begins. Eek.
