Turns out I didn't blog for the entire month of May....and most of June.  It always seems like so much work after a long day, and then I don't want to have to remember all the things I've been up to.

I will just mention a few things that I can remember I guess...

I've been enjoying our apartment more and more now that it's all cleaned up and we have access to all the rooms.  That room full of moving boxes was getting a little ridiculous and disgusting.  One motivated Sunday Jason and I managed to clear the entire thing out and get it all vacuumed and organized.  We also bought bookshelves and finally got all of our excess books put away.  We've had boxes of homeless books ever since we moved out of our first apartment, which had built in shelving in the walls.  So our books have homes now!

Sam, Jason and I went to Summerfest yesterday to see Beach Patrol play at the Cascio stage.  It was really fun.  The guys were great (as usual) and the stage was actually really nice.  It was small, but well placed--we actually couldn't hear any noise from the other stages, which surprised me.  Jason and I left early becuase my allergies were acting up, but Sam stayed to see The Dropkick Murphys and The Offspring.  She said the sound at The Offspring was awful, but they had fun seeing the Dropkick Murphys.  I wish I could have been there, but I was just feeling awful.

Today we went and saw Kristin race in the second to last Tour of America's Dairyland race on Downer.  It was very exciting!  She got first place in what literally ended up being a photo finish.  Her and two other racers were consistently ahead of the rest of the group, and in the end they were all sprinting for the finish line.  Kristin managed to beat the other racer by less than a second.  Jason and I are going to see the last race tomorrow in Waukesha.  We are excited--it's really fun to watch!  Go Kristin!

Other than that not a whole lot is new--I am anxiously and nervously awaiting the beginning of the semester.  I'm really excited to be in class again, but at the same time I am worried that it will take me awhile to get back into the swing of it.  I am, of course, also quite nervous about teaching.  It will be a new experience and I'm sure that it will be a great one.  It's the waiting that's the hardest, I suppose.  At this point I'm sitting around thinking about how scary it will be to get up in front of people who are almost as old as I am and act as an authority figure.  Eek.  Training had better give me greater confidence!

Kelly comes this week for Summerfest.  I am looking forward to that.  It will be strange to go to Summerfest all day and then actually get to come home and sleep in my own bed.  For many years we have enjoyed staying with Cody so it will be a new experience.  I will kind of miss sleeping on hardwood floors and hanging with Cody in the afterhours when Summerfest is over.

Alright...well now I'm just babbling so I'm going to call it quits.  I'm hoping to try to keep up with blogging, but I always say that and then I always lose steam after awhile.  Now that I've gotten a little caught up on the goings on of my life perhaps blogging won't seem to be such a daunting task.
