Fated

Jul 05, 2012 08:05

It started with flashing lights and a girl dancing on a floor, progressed to a conversation about uniforms and war. Ended with a simple good-bye, lives leading them down different roads. Months later, the girl returns, and a new beginning unfolds. Same place, same cast. Full circle at last. Pool stick in hand, blue eyes, and an easy smile, the boy made the girl's heart flutter, made it beat like she ran a mile. Pause that moment, make it last. Boy opened his mouth gave fate a chance. Three little words, one noun two verbs, was all fate needed to make them take a second glance. Making her laugh came easy to him, neither wanting the night to end. Trouble is what he called her, for she tempted him. Moving close enough to kiss him, and then never giving in. They talked about Korea, and Starburst, about relationships that didn't last. About days spent in a war-zone with sparkling cider, a count down and then a blast. Boy begged and pleaded for that kiss, and the girl was finding it harder and harder to resist. Fate pushed the girl forward, a dance of tongue and lips.
Her heart pounded, stomach did flips. Scared for her heart, she went home, promising to answer her phone. The boy kept his word and contacted her, the next day. The girl fought hard to keep him away. But, if something is meant to be, nothing will get in it's way, fate is a fickle female, she will make you pay. A week went bye, 168 hours to be exact. Girl returns to place, where same boy is at. This time she's ready for what Fate has instore, she approaches boy, apologizing for her actions, And together they were once more. A man approached them, a magician of sorts. A deck a cards, pick any card, shuffled, same number different courts. Boy and girl knew it was just a trick, but maybe fate was playing a hand in the cards they picked. Fast forward, now stop. This a moment to note, boy says to girl, I'll make you say it first, She denies what her heart clearly says, and keeps it to herself afraiding he'll gloat. Kissing him seems to meddle with her mind, and she bends again and out of her mouth three words are said. She loves him, and fears of rejection fly through her head. Boy surprises her, and soothes her fears, I love you, too. The sweet words tickle her ears. We'll pause right there, where girl fell for boy, there will be many more moments like these for them to enjoy. Fate brought them together, only actions can rip them apart. But, if something is truly meant to be you can see it from the start. So, rewind to the first moment where boy and girl meet, flashing lights and keeping time with a beat.
