There's an old quote I've long been fond of... "Dreaming permits us all the chance to be quietly and safely insane each and every night of our lives." By some guy named William Charles Dement. The last name seems somehow appropriate, given the subject of the quote.
Anyway, this is relevant because I have just awoken after having the single oddest dream I can remember having (to be fair, I don't remember most of my dreams) since the one about my aunt not believing current medical theory on cancer treatment because Sidney Poitier had a competing theory.
Anyway...
In this dream, I'm in some sort of competition that involves retrofitting and redesigning computers and, for some reason, refridgerators. Why? Lord only knows, but it's supposed to reflect a business plan for some new company.
Anyway, after some stuff I can't really remember (except for the judge complaining about the lack of space in one of my early fridge efforts), I end up retrofitting my old computer, which I apparently had to get back from Ariel Sharon, the current Prime Minister of Israel, while the guy across from me threatens to kill me if I come up with a pharmaceutical-related business plan.
Fortunately for me, I do not. I instead come up with a plan for an organization dedicated to monitoring mistreatment of various minority groups overseas. Certainly a worthy enough goal. No name for a company, but I did come up with a slogan.
"Where There's a Kurd, There's a Way."
... and that's when I woke up, very confused.
