So, I do realize the last time I posted to this journal anything of substance was over a month ago, and for this I don't apologize! The fact of the matter is, it's been hectic in my world! After three funerals in three weeks, a wedding, in which the music was great if I may say so myself, upgrading Windows on my Mac to Vista, a couple trips to Georgia, and several other things which I can't remember, I think I deserved some time off!
So, we have a new future president, Barack Obama! I haven't commented about this, except on Facebook, but I want to let ya'll know I'm not scared of him! If he takes the American freedoms away, persecutes Christians, sets up a black supremacist state, and all the other unthinkable things which are rumored on all the conspiracy theory sites, I'm serving ya'll notice! I am not afraid! I think I'll just go on with God, and trust Him to take me through to the end! I'm not going to worry about politics, the economy, freedom, or anything else. I'll just keep holding the unseen hand of God, who has carried me through this far through all the things in life I've faced! Anyway, that's my take.
So, I am lonely now! It used to be that a certain black dog named Shelbie, would be in here, usually sprawled out comfortably on the futon while I wrote my entries. That has changed. Rachel got married, and took her. Lol! I made beautiful music for her wedding, and in exchange, she took my friend away. How's that for trade? Lol it's ok. It's lonely, but I'm living, and working on training another dog we have, Lady, who seems impossible to train, but I'm trying anyway. So, I'm praying for another decent dog to fill the void left by Shelbie, and even if I don't get one, I'm just gonna stay busy on the road, and continue to do God's work.
My trip to St. Marys Georgia was amazing. Every service was great, and fun was had by all parties involved. I can't wait to be back there to see all my friends, but in the meantime, I have Houston, West Virginia, and Ohio, and hopefully some other places. I'm off to Newburgh, New York in just over a week. I'm preaching a revival there, so if anyone happens to be in the area, and wants to come support the meeting, get in touch, and I'll tell ya what's up.
I suppose that's about it. I've said my piece, and perhaps I'll have more to say sooner than a month! Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!
