Clearing it up!
I'm here again with another update. I know, it's been way too long, but um, see, I've been enjoying a few weeks of no traveling, just being at home, working with the musicians here at FBC. So there's my excuse for no update. I hear you saying, "That's no excuse!" Hey look here, this is my blog, my life, my Mac, and my time! Suck it up and deal with it! Lol!
Anyhow, I've been visiting some church web sites this morning, and somethin just kinda struck me funny when I looked at them! It seems like our message is getting more and more blurred by modern-day speak than ever before. For instance, instead of a clear link of a way to be saved, one web site said, "Starting a relationship with God." Well, like it or not, we all have some sort of relationship with God. I mean, He made us, and whether it's the right relationship with Him, or the wrong one, it's still there. Little things like that have my skin crawling today. Say what you mean, and mean what you say. It's not just that. There's plenty of other things similar that get under my skin, but we won't go there right now. Oh wait, one other...People that say, "I grew up in the way"...What way? Oh, you mean God's way? Say it, moron! Don't be ashamed. If I'm your friend, I'm not going to be ashamed of you. If you're God's friend, you shouldn't be ashamed of Him! Ok, so that's all. I've scratched my itch, and it felt sooooo good!
In other news, we're fixin' to get a goat. It wasn't my idea. I personally don't think we take great care of the animals we have, but yes, a goat! So now, we'll have four dogs, a cat, two birds, and a goat. Hmm! The things grandparents do for their grandbabies. It was all my preacher's wife's idea. Anyway, that's all for now.
