Literature Entre Week 8
I was thinking after reading Katherine Mansfield’s “The Garden Party” what I really like about her writing style and here are a few thoughts: I like the way she uses her word choice. I like the way you get a real sense of character although she doesn’t need to describe them in great detail. Their personality comes across although she has an economical way of using her words. With the descriptions of the landscape as well, she only highlights what is necessary for the story and to get her point across and to show things that are beautiful in the minds eye. As you can obviously tell I’m a bit of a fan now.
