1. So I talked to the store director, who's finally back from vacation. He promises to talk to the District Manager about getting me more money[0] than I'm getting right now. He seems to agree that what I'm making seems low, but tries to feed me some bullshit that it's my fault because I transferred from another store.
2. Evidently, all the the CoC needs in order to put in my papers for fall is a letter, from my doctor, promising that I'm not going to go all insane or depressive or diabetic, and fall apart when I go to school. This is the doctor who cannot be reached directly. The one who you call 8 times over two separate days before you can get the real robot[1] to pick up and let you leave a message or make an appointment.
Happily, I managed to get ahold of the robot by 10:30 this morning, and left a message for the right people. Of course, I left directions to call me back, which they didn't do. This says to me that no work was done on scrawling something down or faxing it. That's okay, I'm going to Augusta thursday.
3. So my fishtank at my mother's house is screwed up. And all of my fish are probably gonna die. So, I'm going to go to Augusta and fix this mess. Also, get a drivers license while I'm there.
An update
The doctor did his thing. Got an email from Kathy about coming down to sign something. I show up and it's a contract for fall and spring semesters. Unfortunately, she wants me to take a buttload of classes (okay, just one more than I wanted, but I don't wanna be full time and working), so I cannot sign it. Also I need to talk schedules with my boss.
So I go down to the old Petsmart, and the boss man hates me, but he'll work with me on the schedule thing. I guess it helps that I gave him a choice of what time the Calculus class (five days a week, for one hour) would be, so he could choose whether to have me work early or late. I mean, I don't care; I was putting all the other classes tuesday-thursday only so that I can work during the week. So it looks like I'll be working open to 2pm, then Calc at 3. Whee.
Did I mention I'm getting to be in school for fall?
More rantings will be posted Friday afternoon. I'm going from work to Augusta tomorrow (today now...) and probably won't have computer access on that end.
