Blown Off

People other than PsiUs were supposed to happen tonight.

So this girl[0] I work with is always talking about being bored and such, and whining about how the only thing she ever does is go out and get drunk. So okay, we've got this common problem in that we're bored, single, and know nobody. So we decide to go do something tonight[1]. Were going to go to some bar that sometimes has live music, has pool tables, can grab a cheap beer.

Bleh. Never calls.

We work together tomorrow. Checks time. Today. I'll see what's up.

So I put it as a title, but I don't really feel blown off. It's not a date, and I'm not for lack of useful things to do. But the thing is, I really need to get out of this house once in a while. The only people I know, who have time for me, are either living here or closely associated with PsiU[2]. This ain't good. Cabin fever, anyone?

[0] So she's 22 years old. I should not call her a girl. At the same time, calling females my own age "women" feels funny. Maybe I'm just immature. Or a Stupid Boy.

[1] Despite jokes made at my expense, this was not in the vein of "we're both bored and lonely, let's go screw". We were actually going to try to have fun. I was to meet new people in a new place, she was to get off her ass and do stuff, rather than feeling sorry for herself.

[2] I point to, as anecdotal evidence, that people who spend all[3] their time together here, rather as S.O.s or just bestest-of-friends, tend to be at each others' throats, sooner rather than later.

[3] Crap. Not even all. Just a good portion. And honestly, I'm not the only person to just be tired of the House: not just the people, but the atmosphere, the stagnation, everything. It's a friendly place to live, but it's not a good place to have a whole fscking life. End rant. I think.
