Wow, what a good movie.
Before I go into it, I'll just say that it kind of parallels The Lord of the Rings in its plot, except it's the opposite. You'll get it when you see it.
So, a white kid from Boston who's into Kung Fu movies gets teleported into an ancient Chinese World by a magical staff. Sounds to me like a halfass plot...but it got better, trust me.
Jackie Chan plays a drunken Kung Fu master, and Jet Li plays a hardass monk. I shouldn't have to say more, because Jackie and Jet are like the Mario and Sonic of Kung Fu, but I will. The main character is actually the teenager, played by Michael Angarano (I've never heard of him either) and they're accompanied by an angsty young assassin called Sparrow, played by the beautiful Yifei Liu.
The main idea of the movie is that they're returning this golden Staff to the Monkey King (some of you may recognize this figure as none other than SON GOKU XD). So without giving you a blow by blow of this film and thereby ruining it, I'll just say it's got the action, it's got the comedy, and it's got all the fan service a Kung Fu junkie could ask for. It would make a killer video game, too.
