Another damn interesting movie.
It's like a mild college movie meets an exciting VEGAS thriller. The whole card counting bit was kind of beyond me, but it was delivered in such a way that it didn't matter. There were some artsy scenes of how he played the game, what with the chips stacking up and the cards reflecting in his eyes. All the characters were quite interesting too, especially Morpheus. He played a Vegas casino bouncer named Cole Williams and he was the quintessential badass. When he caught someone counting, he messed them up.
The counting team consisted of Across the Universe's Jim Sturgess, along with two asian kids (one from Disturbia and one I haven't seen before), one white dude (Sturgess's foil) and a totally necessary hot blond chick. Their "captain" was none other than Mickey Rosa, played by Kevin Spacey. He was the only really evil character, but still likable most of the time.
So between blackjack, action, romance, Cole's ring hand, and the Vegas party scene, 21 is a damn good movie. Go see it, then make millions in Vegas =P
